5/17/11 Had a good time playing The Tipp Roller Mill on Saturday(pic above) and Houston Festival in Houston,OH . Boy was it HOT!!

4/30/11 We'd like to welcome Stephen Curry to Boston Boy. He will bring much more dimension to the band. We threw him in the fire at Tunes in the Trees Sunday. The man knows a thousand songs and will be helping Randy out with lead vocals.

Randy is still in the hospital and doing fine. It hit him a little harder than he thought it might. He be coming around soon and put an end to this part of his journey in life for good.

Evan Lanier helped us out taking Randy's place in the band for Tunes in the trees Sunday. You can find Evan's band on facebook and do a search for Evan Lanier and the Bluegrass Express in the internet. He's a very talented young musician and we we're very proud to have him as an "Honorary Boston Boy". Thanks Evan!

3/6/11 Great news! Bostonboy Bluegrass is pleased to announce Jeff Causey into the band as our new Mandolin player. He's a heck of a player and a nice guy. We're all looking forward to it!

1/22/11 Been a little while since we've updated the site. Hope everyone had safe and Happy Holidays. We're getting back to the grindstone. Rick has left the band and went on to other things we wish him well we're gonna miss him. At this moment its just us 3. We're sure we'll find someone to fit right in here soon. Booking listing coming soon!

12/3/10 Christmas times a comin! Boston Boy
would like to wish you all a happy and safe holiday season.
Just kick back and try to enjoy yourselves. We know how the world is nowadays, with all the hustle and bustle. Just try to remember the reason for the season!

12/2/10 Thanks for prayers for Don. His Mother passed away at 12:30am this morning. She got to see all her family first. So still remember Don Bolen, and his family as they try to adjust to their loss. Many of us know that feeling, and it hurts. Please keep them in your prayers. Thank you very kindly! God Bless! Bostonboy Bluegrass band

11/24/10 Happy Thanksgiving! Boston Boy
won't be doing much as a band as their gonna spend time with their families. Of all the obvious things we're thankful to God for, Family, Friends, Country, we all are so thankful for all of you that support us! Please remember Boston Boy does this for the love of the music. We don't have any ideas of "Making it" we'll let others worry about that. We try to keep things in perspective. So God Bless you all and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! Check out Turkey in the Straw Below!

11/14/10 Boston Boy
decided to take a break this week since Randy had to go for an outpatient thing. He's doing fine,(just a little sore) and will be good as new lickety split!

11/06/10
Recorded more yesterday! We're gonna work hard to get a complete CD by summer! There is a "chemistry" developing within the band now. Just as we thought with this talent,  Boston Boy is startin to Roll!

10/31/10 Happy Halloween!
Keep them cold icy fingers off of me! Boston Boy finished their first demo song. How Mountain Girls Can Love, a cover from the Stanley Bros. Be sure to check it out on the Reverbnation link above.

10/02/10
Played at Mark Acton's Farmfest today. We had a ball, making new friends and meeting old ones. It started getting cold. Before it was all over we about frozed our ***S off!

9/27/10 OK...We got Don in here to lay the bass line down. No problem. Then Randy to do the lead vocals. OK so far. Then everyone goes home and Me(Jeff) and Rick are listening to the mix and there's a loud hiss on one of the tracks. Hmmm we start looking. Guess what? Its Randy's vocals! AARRGGH! We have to redo his vocals. Oh well if we have anything its time I guess :)

8/28/10 Laying down some tracks ....Jeff on banjo and electric bass(until Don gets back in town),Rick on Mando and guitar...sounds purdy good for how we did it...Its hard to punch in/out and overdubb Bluegrass and keep the energy....the tracks are atm awaiting vocals and a couple little loose ends tidied up....then BB will have their first demo song.
